How to Root HTC One M9 and Install TWRP recovery

Sorry for the delayed guys actually these days I’m very busy in studies & other works, I will share my schedule after few days on about us page or maybe I will create new page or post. So this guide for HTC One M9 owners who wants to root their device. HTC One M9 is a great device but many M9 users there wants to use third party apps & want root access. If you’re one of them & want you to root device then here is our quick guide to root HTC One M9 and install TWRP recovery.
How to Root HTC One M9 and Install TWRP recoveryRequirements – Take the Full Backup of your all important data & if ADB and Fastboot Drivers are not installed on your desktop then first download & install drivers from here. And Enable USB debugging mode from settings developer mode. & Most important your device battery should be full charged or near about 60-70% battery level. & you have to unlock the bootloader of your phone. HTC device unblock bootloader can be done through their official site htcdev.com there they will give you token & command to run in ADB.

Before we start, let me remind you – Root voids your warranty. So whatever happens to your phone, is your responsibility. The steps given in the upcoming tutorial are correct to your knowledge, but even then, remember, whatever you do, do it at your own risk.

With the disclaimer done, lets get started –

First we will install TWRP recovery & then Root HTC One M9.

» Install TWRP Recovery on HTC One M9

Step 1: Download the ADB file here & extract the folder on your desktop. You need this file to run ADB commands on your desktop.

Step 2: Then, Download TWRP (twrp-2.8.6.0-hima.img) & after download complete copy/paste TWRP file in the ADB folder that you downloaded in step 1.

Step 3: Afterwards, Go to the ADB folder & open Command Prompt (Shift + Right-click — Open Command Prompt).

Step 4: Connect your device to PC & type the following command:

adb reboot bootloader
Step 5: Device will switch OFF & then boot into the Fastboot Mode.

Step 6: Now again you have to type the following command & press Enter.

fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.6.0-hima.img
Step 7:  Once installation process completed, choose RECOVERY from the Fastboot menu & enter Recovery Mode. ( You can Navigate up and down using the volume keys)

Step 8: TWRP recovery menu will appear that’s it TWRP is installed! Now reboot your device.

» How to Root HTC One M9

Step 1: Download SuperSU Root file from below given download button:

Step 2: Transfer that downloaded file in your device Micro SD Card stroage.

Step 3: After that switch off your device and boot in recovery mode. ( Switch on by using these keys – Volume Up + Power buttons together)

Step 4: Then in Recovery Mode, search for “flash zip from SD card”.

Step 5: Press the Power button to select “choose zip from sd card”.

Step 6: Search the file which you transferred in step 2. “BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip” file and install it.

Step 7: Once installation complete, reboot your device.
